So...I started a writing group for urban fantasy authors. Already there is inactivity in the ranks and it's day 2. Why do people commit to something and then disregard the follow up. It'd be one thing if they felt like they couldn't say no. But I don't even KNOW most of these people so it isn't like they should feel obligated to me. And the first piece that was up for review and workshopping was a mere two pages. TWO PAGES!!! If you can't get off your butt and look at two pages worth of work you are committed. Especially when the prologue was fairly clean and certainly gripping in my opinion. The author has a knack for creating masterpieces with words. Stupid, lazy people.

Side note. Things are moving forward with the licensing for foster care. FINALLY! We have our homestudy on Monday. A bit stressed about that. I still need to go through the house and get rid of any cleaning supplies we don't use since all of those need to be locked up. Also need to find window well coverings and something to lock up the lawn fertilizers. Other than that, we're good.

Business for the jewelry has picked up and then dropped off and picked up again. I'm sure it has more to do with how much time I'm willing to devote exclusively to it. Which isn't tons right now.

The book is starting to pick up. I've got a new outline to follow so I know roughly what should happen in each chapter again. Makes it easier to write. Here's hoping my protagonist doesn't throw me another massive curve ball.
